Remember the song? The rain in Spain stays mainly on the plain? well, the rain in Missouri stays mainly on top of us. If you are watching the News you probably heard of the flash floods in Kansas City and areas, that is not too far from here, so the same weather system is right over us right now.

Some people got scared and tried to leave the fairgrounds this morning and ended up stuck in the mud all the way down to their axles, they then had to be pulled by tractors and big wreckers, so we elected to stay here and wait it out, hoping that the rain will stop in the next few days and the ground will dry enough that we can make a safe exit.

While the people who got pulled out of the mud are now attempting to drive in heavy rain, we are fine, staying dry in the coach, watching movies, knitting and reading, watching the rain fall , life is good! We’re having a beer… Cheers! 🙂
